I love the stuff. Should I be concerned that it contains raw eggs? Maybe, but I've developed a love for raw fish while living here in Japan (I heart sushi) so a little raw egg can't be that bad.
The problem with this addiction is that when I eat cookie dough for breakfast nothing else tastes as good. Like my homemade pancakes drowning in maple syrup. Instead I feed that to my boyz.
After my unhealthy but so delicious breakfast I head out the door for a morning run. Although these days it's a slow jog equal to the speed of the Okinawa centurions I used to speed past. Bet you didn't know our island was famous for old people, did ya?
Anyway, where was I? Cookie dough followed by exercise. Hmmmmm, maybe if I laid off the cookie dough I wouldn't feel the need to run/jog/shuffle anymore?
Or maybe I'd just feel deprived.
And so I ask you: Do you prefer your cookie dough baked or not baked? And don't tell me you've never tried it for breakfast!
I prefer cookie dough unbaked. I could eat it by the spoonfuls!
ReplyDeleteI love it unbaked in ice cream! But I won't turn it away in the baked form either...with a big glass of milk.
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of munching on cookie dough, esp. choc. chip. But I had the most amazing dessert the other day...you'd LOVE it. Put a big scoop of cookie dough in a 4 oz. ramekin, mini cake pan, or you could try a muffin tin. Bake until just undercooked. Fresh from the oven top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's a new family favorite...YUMMMM.
ReplyDeletePS...I've only had the dessert I mentioned using chocolate chip cookie dough (Toll House works great)
ReplyDeleteI don't generally prefer dough over the cookies, unless its the dough from your peanut butter cookie recipe, and then oven be danged; I'm eating the whole batch raw.
ReplyDeleteOne of the girls I work with puts cookie dough chunks in brownies. Supposedly they're delicious!
ReplyDeleteBaked is the only way to go. And thinking of having it for breakfast almost makes me lose it.
ReplyDeleteMel, you need to come over RIGHT NOW! I'm making the neiman marcus ones right now! Of course the dough is better! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look FANTASTIC BTW, and you could outrun me any day
Bring on the dough!
