One More....

My parents

One year ago, I learned my mom had cancer. Based on statistics she probably had only months to live. I remember thinking, "If I have enough faith my mom can be healed."
Now here we are celebrating one more Thanksgiving, one more Christmas, one more New Year's.
My mom hasn't been healed. The cancer is still there. But the gift of more time and more memories reassures me. It is easy to have faith in a miracle but the true test of my faith is to remain faithful if she isn't healed.
Faith is a choice.
I choose to have faith.

  4. i can completely relate to your feelings on faith. there were countless times i negotiated with heavenly father that if i was strong and faithful enough ajax would be healed. he was not healed the way i imagined, but faith sure made the weight easier to bare.

  5. Melanie,
My cousin, Brook (Bingham)Mora who lives in Mexico with her husband, loves to read your blog. She told me this post was her favorite one. Because she has had faith her husband would be allowed in the states, but he ended up getting a ten year ban before they can reapply. She has really wondered if it is a lack of her faith. Thanks for being so inspiring to everyone.
