Someday We'll Get There

Moving stinks, especially when it involves moving from a foreign country. Everything just takes forever! We're still waiting for all our stuff to cross the ocean. Hopefully everything will arrive the beginning of July. In the meantime, Randy is driving a truck full of new furniture and stuff we didn't take to Japan, back to Seattle.
Luckily my dad enjoys my cooking and coming home to a house full of noisy boys so I can hang out here for as long as I want.

Although I'm getting a little anxious to move into our new home. For the record, we have NEVER had a garage since we got married eight years ago. This house is making up for it.
Garage #1: Chariot
Garage #2: Odyssey
Garage #3: Accord

The one thing I haven't missed in Okinawa is the bomb shelter.

  1. C'mon, Mel ... you KNOW you miss the bomb shelter. And the Gomie pile! :)

Your new home is BEAUTIFUL! I hope we get a tour if the inside. (hint, hint) :)

  2. I can't even think about what it would be like to have a garage space, let alone three. Not having to scrape snow and ice and in the winter, not having to blast the AC for 5 minutes before you can touch the seats in the summer, not having to chase down kids who ran into the yard when you told them to go to the car, being able to leave a sleeping baby...oh shoot- I thought about it anyway. Enjoy!

  5. Your bomb shelter misses you! I'm so excited your chariot gets a garage. I look forward to giving one to BOB someday. In the meantime we just bought another shed because I can't stand having the bikes in the house! But BOB can't live out there because it would get too rusted up!
We're having date night tonight... I think we'll be going to Chili's again.... we're so lame.... go out and eat somewhere exciting for us!!!

  6. Is that your new house? That is so beautiful! It looks like the bomb shelter could fit in your garage alone. I'm so jealous! Good thing you and Randy are good at yard work. The yard is beautiful and I'm sure you guys will keep it that way.
