He's 8 and it's Great

My oldest son is now a baptized member of our church.  This was a big deal and a big day, ranking right up there with my wedding day, having my babies, and Randy's graduation from dental school.  I couldn't stop smiling or tearing up.

The highlights of the day:  Seeing Marcus dressed up in his first fancy suit, seeing Marcus and Randy dressed in white before the baptism, Marcus wrapping his arms around me and whispering in my ear, "I'm really nervous, Mom."  Giving him a huge hug after his baptism, and having both sets of grandparents come out to Seattle for the big day.  Later that evening, in a quiet moment, Marcus and I were talking about how special the day was.  He said he was disappointed he didn't see Grandma and Linz there.  I gave him a reassuring hug and told him, "They were there.  They wouldn't have missed it!"

    Your hair is super cute! And it's a shame we're prego at the same time, because you have some really cute clothes I would love to have. Yay for Marcus!

    Ok, that first picture is seriously classic. What a handsome little man! Congrats to Marcus - what a special day. I can't believe our babies are old enough to get baptized. (You look great, too, by the way!)

    You look fabulous! I agree, I want to steal that shirt. I especially like Baby Ball peeking out in the picture with Marcus. Huge congrats to Marcus!

    I can't believe it!!! He looks so adorable and happy. It seems just like yesterday you guys were helping me with Caden's in Oki. And now he's passing the sacrament!!! They grow up too fast. You look great. I'm super happy for your family. Your Boston trip looked fun and I hope you were successful in finding a home. When do you leave? Are you going to be in Utah at all this summer?
