Go Big or Go Home

I married a competitive man.  I'm competitive too so this works out just fine.   When some friends from church invited us to join them in a friendly gingerbread house competition we were more than willing.  The competition was fierce.  One couple built a nativity scene complete with chocolate Lego mini-figures.  Another family recreated the Naragansett Towers and gnawed around the roof edges to make them curve just right.  It was hilarious mostly because it was the men who were getting into it.  But Randy's train couldn't be beat.  He meticulously cut and measured graham crackers in ways only a dentist can while I assisted, applied frosting when necessary and supervised the kiddos.  This Gingerbread House Extravaganza will be a new Sunday afternoon Christmas tradition.  And I'm sure Randy will win every time.  Or die trying.
