We did it! 192 miles of running through Cape Cod, MA. It was worth all the freezing cold, torturous winter runs through wind, snow, and ice. Everyone ran faster than their predicted pace; I'm quite proud of the number of guys I "chicked" {Runner lingo for a guy getting passed by a girl - it's the best!}, and Randy sprinted through his 21 miles and passed just about every runner he saw. Imagine how fast he'd be if he had trained for more than three weeks!
We started out in Plymouth, MA where we picked up Boston Cami, then headed to our start line where we met up with the other half of our team who were friends from Seattle and their family including their 72-year old father. If I'm still alive when I'm 72 I hope I can run a Ragnar! We ran through quaint New England neighborhoods and farms, past beautiful coastlines, over bridges and along canals, and ended in Provincetown, MA. It was unforgettable! Here are pics from Day 1.

Looks like fun, can't wait to talk to you about it.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm so impressed. I wish I were a runner. Seeing this has made Chad want to start running again. Way to inspire.
ReplyDeleteGood job! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteBoston Cami. I like it- put it on my luggage. :) You all were so awesome to run with. And I don't think I would have made it up my hills without you.
