We finally had our last day of school! The day the boys been waiting for since the very first day of school.

I took pics of the boys before they headed for the bus because I like to compare their pictures from the first day of school. It's crazy how much they change in a year!
While the boys were at school (all day long, no early out for us) Landon and I made chocolate chip cookies for a special snack when they got home.
The boys jumped off the bus yelling, dumped piles and piles of papers on the table, ate cookies, and then we were back outside for the big surprise. . .

A huge slip-n-slide! Our sloping lawn makes it a
perfect setup for serious speed. Pretty soon we had a bunch of neighbor
kids join in the fun. Summer vacation has officially begun!
And I'm so relieved to be done with all the end of year activities.
I've spent more time at the school in the last week than I have the
entire year. Did I mention their school isn't air conditioned?

I told Megan that you guys were FINALLY done with school, and she said "Summer's almost over!!" Now she's counting down the days until you're here.
