I feel like we are stuck in a time warp, living the same day over and over again. I keep sending my kids to school and they keep coming home. The day ends and we do it all over again. Yes, they are still in school, yes we are starting to go a little crazy, and yes, this means the school year doesn't end until the week before the 4th of July. I guess that's what happens when you get every federal holiday off, every Jewish holiday off, a winter and spring break, and nearly two weeks of school cancellations due to storms.
It makes me angry. But not angry enough to let my kids skip the last few days. Once I thought it through and realized every errand, outing, and workout would include my four boys following me around I quickly realized school is where they need to be for as long as possible. And then when they finally, finally, finally, finish the longest school year of their lives, we will party like it's 1999. Until then, we keep telling ourselves, "It's almost over. It's almost over."
