Summer was extreme! It felt like things were either pure chaos and we couldn't fit all the fun in, or nothing was going on and I found myself reading a book out on the deck. Since our summer break is about three weeks shorter than everyone else's, I feel a lot of pressure to enjoy every day, especially soaking in the sunshine. We can never take a sunny day for granted here and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. Probably not. Anyway, we started off the summer with a visit from Randy's brother Ryan and his three kids. This was the first time they've visited us so Randy took off work and made sure we exhausted them with all the fun things.
Pine Lake never disappoints |
Boating into Seattle and dinner at Ivar’s |
Fried seafood…it’s not that good but it’s local and docking at a restaurant is pretty cool |
Lake Union sunsets |
Ryan has great kids |
Some of the family because we are never all together |
This BIG boat makes our boat feel as insignificant as a little bug |
Bainbridge Island and sea anemone poking |
S’mores in the backyard |
An intense wiffle ball game |
A Mariners game |
We love showing people all the good things Washington has to offer. In the summertime, the list is long!
